Discussion:
Worried about the cost of owning a car? Take a look at the RACQ and RACV sites on this subject. They have recently included the services of Glasses to project what the trade in value of each make and model of car will be in five years.
When one does the hard headed calculations whether you divide the costs up into capital cost, fuel costs, statutory costs and maintenance cost or the total of all four, the result is educative.
Common sense suggests that the more you pay for a car, the more you stand to lose, but when you see the actual figures, it is interesting to say the least. The critical issue is the fact that Glasses have been used statistics to project out five years. The resources that large fleet owners use are becoming available to the public. Check the sites and compare your car or the one you are thinking of buying. No wonder new car sales are slow.
